We've spent four years building and tuning NetherMAC: Nethernet's Maximum Availability Cluster. Now we're proud to say that it is a rock solid place to put your web site.
The long and short of it is that your site is hosted on not one, not two, but ten servers, with a pair of load balancers picking the fastest server for each visitor. This means that if, say, five servers spontaneously combust at the same time, you won't even notice. More importantly, your visitors won't notice, because the other five servers will pick up the slack.
Futhermore, we can easily add capacity to the cluster by throwing more servers in the pool. At the moment, our cluster is running at a tiny fraction of its full capacity. But if we need to increase its capacity, we can do it quickly and transparently.
